Los Sombreros Refreshes Menu with New Exotic Tastes

Hold on to your sombrero! Azucena Tovar, the intrepid chef behind Los Sombreros, has crafted a new menu that will knock your calcetines off. Crafted with flavorful ingenuity and authentic inspiration, the menu offers refreshing new fare while still serving beloved favorites. Azucena has drawn influence from her childhood home of San Miguel Allende, her extensive travels through the rural nooks and bustling cities of Mexico and ultimately, her imagination.

Not impervious to change, Azucena has produced innovative menu items that are sure to be newfound favorites. This includes Jicama Tostadas made with mixed greens, sweetly seasoned shrimp and drizzled mango dressing; Hibiscus Enchiladas with salsa verde, crema blanca and refried black beans; Pato en Mole Nayarit, a baked and shredded duck; Chicken Chiles Rellenos in a pork rind cream sauce; Pork Shank marinated in a coloradito mole sauce and baked in banana leaves; and Cornbread Souffle, a warm delight served in a zesty mole sauce.

Along with the menu’s adventurous additions come the Los Sombreros classics. This includes such staples as Huitlacoche Crepes, Crab and Mango Salad, Mole Poblano, and Lamb Adobo.
